Next week my mother, sister and brother in law are coming out to visit from Michigan. I cannot wait. I recently found out my sister in law, Liz is now working with an interior design group..and turns out she is working on the new Cirque show here in Vegas. Her company is doing some front of house, boutique interior designs for the new Criss Angel show!!! We had a good ironic laugh about it. It has been a trying past few weeks. I was diagnosed with endimetriosis. After several visits and excrutiating back pain. I thought maybe from too much yoga, or performing. It was something I had to go into surgery for. Thank goodness it is not severe. However, only being out yesterday with being cut open at my belly.. you don't realize the internal pain once the anesthesia wears off. Fortunately, I'm about done with the works for the next exhibit. And so ready to get back at KA. I can't imagine not working at all. It can be quite isolating, depressing, and realized how much I thoroughly love what I do and how i need my yoga and pilates! .. the artwork, the amazing spirit of Cirque ...and a new home to move into set for August. Puts things in perspective when you have too much time to think and not work. How blessed and grateful I am for my husband and such amazing friends here. I am really stoked with the great people, inspirations, and joy we all bring to one another's lives. And it will just be even better when family is out next week. Just to sit around the dinner table and visit, joke and share funny stories of 'remember when'. How funny that Liz is going to be involved with the Criss show. Honestly, it's just me, I'm partial to my KA.
I will be getting ready for some trophy works for a specialty coming up in Washington. Also, four gallery exhibits this summer. Cirque and dancers. My husband rocks. It is trite and silly to say 'blessed' and 'grateful'. Oh! and we have another dog. A pom mix of something else. Looks like a giant chow face baby..and his name is Chowder. The two are getting along great. Of course the older sister, the doxie is teaching him bad things to do.. and he take the blame for it.
It was nice to come home...and yes, force myself to stay in bed. Which i should be doing now with bandages and stitches.. (feels like my insides are going to spill out when the medication wears off) i hate having to stay still.
Summer in Vegas is approaching. Fortunately, we are still getting the lovely 70, 80 degree weather. I am continuing to learn to write in chinese from my chinese friends. It's a great source of finding center, and balance. "Shodo"...which is the way of the brush. In meditative practices of centuries in asia.
